Default Century Boar Bristle brush repair

My first attempt at repairing a rubberized shaving brush handle. Not bad, could have been better.
A huge shout out to Mike (outback) for his guidance and generosity. Thank you, Mike!

My original intention was to just stabilize the damage and keep the Century in use. Mike gave me
the nudge I needed to take the stabilization to the next level, repair. It's not as pretty as it once
was, but it's as pretty as it will ever be. I now have a new knowledge added to my skill set. Maybe
next time I'll do better. (Like the old joke "How do you get to Carnegie Hall?")

Well it may not be the perfection you were hoping for, but it is a save. It is now in serviceable condition and looking not bad. Perhaps over time you will take it to where you wanted it to go or perhaps you will keep it as is and remember what it has helped you learn. I have a few of my early restores that I keep just like they were when I finished them.

That's just it, Shaun, I had very low expectations of the outcome. I was scared of it. I actually surpassed my expectations.
I may be my own worst critic, but I am very pleased with the end result.

I think it looks great! I never do anything 'perfect' (not that I could!). It's old stuff!
