Martin, I'm pretty sure that your saying that the washer has a 'depression/bevel' on the Inside so the rod has a place to go instead of just up and over the washer. Yes, No? Maybe So? :shrug:

I was planning on nothing on the other side. I was thinking about a ship, but not a sunken one. That is a good idea for a scale though, sunken ship and sharks or treasure. A scale is a pretty small place to try to paint an elaborate picture though. They are so long and thin not much fits in.
