Diamond strop? I thought I was radical!

    Could look pretty slick.
Regarding the henckel, my 72 inox seemed to like the BBW Coti Thuri diamond strop progression. At least to my unruly mug it felt nice.
I do appreciate the German steel. Always a good shave if the tool is well maintained..
I tend to reach for them more often than the others actually.
If I am gonna wrap it, I don't think any more weldy/sandy is gonna happen.
Thanks for the opinions, guys. I can just see it now! Saves me a pile of work!
So, where does one come by waxed thread? HobbyLobby?

I am thinking of as going with wrapped tang, some JB Weld to smooth the tang/stabilizer area may be good. Would be nice and even as-wrapped?
Well I've wound knives and a number of odd things, could watch a video to get it down, I'm good with intricate work.
I'm not sure what you mean by smooth the tang/stabilizer area, figured the grinder/greaseless sand paper buffing... would do that...???

Yep, but I doubt they have a good selection. Fly fishing? Online is where I'd look. The thickness would be debatable. It would just need to be relatively smooth underneath the thread/string...

You could do it of course.. it sounded as though you were asking if I wanted to wrap it... either way.

`No, just don't see doing a pile of work to wind it with waxed thread. Hmmmm?

Yeah that makes sense. JB Weld is easy to sand and shape, and then wax thread on top... would feel good in the hand.. easy to wield.

Hi guys, I've been working so I've had no time for restoring but I've been buying W&B blades and more tools ...

One thing I bought was Dremel cutting wheels so I can cut up some brass for wedges, this weekend.

In the box are these plastic pieces .

I'm wondering if anyone knows what they are for?
