Heating this would be like wadding it up and tossing it, IMO. I am going for the chemical melt.

    I totally understand.
    And agree in your case.

My daughter just asked me about inlays, and what they were.
I showed her your pics on removal. When she seen the last pic, she asked how did he pick it up, without destroying it.

Very very carefully, probably with a needle. Like the game opperation, dont squish the devil. [emoji1]

Im a little bummed about having to move my workshop... with all of this cool experimentation going on! Damn! Also with some really cool projects I have lined up.
All will settle down in a week though, and then watch out!
Maybe I might be able to do some experiments tomorrow or Sunday...
Wish I had one of those laser pointer temperature readers... for exact temp...

I have one but it doesn't work good to try & take a persons temp. Works good on finding a misfire, just point it at the exhaust pipes separately & the cold one is the culprit.

Hi Outback. Thanks for thinking of me - however I think I'll try and find some track over here to save the shipping.

We have railways all right - this is a quote from a book I was reading just last night by Bill Bryson - an American who came to Britain about 40 years ago and has stayed here more or less since then. According to Bill the UK went mad for railways and just one tiny island - the Isle of Wight which is just off the south coast - had 55 miles of track operated by 8 different companies. The whole island measures just 147 square miles.

There was a major restructuring of rail transport in the 1960s - there were so many different branch lines and operating companies that 50% of the network carried 96% of business with the other 4% spread over the remaining 50% network.

I'm pretty sure it would not be difficult to source some old track.
My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

Here's a Gold Devil. The guy thinks he has a bar of gold! He started bidding at $179 but it ended with no bids awhile ago.

Guess you've never heard about the near mythical "Gold Devil" ... one shave and that's it.. the soul of every hair on your face is forfeit.. don't do it if you like to shave as the hair won't grow back... though in a funny little bit of irony, the hair on your rear will be twice as thick! Lol

Got a little work done on the canton tonight.

Hand sanded with 4 and 600 grt.
Noticing a slight frown, and very small chip in the heel.,
I went back with 600 greaseless and thinned and raised the stabilizer, then removed the frown and chip with a small hone by hand.

Tomorrow I should finish the blade and possibly be able to fix the scales.
    Maybe even finish it.!!
