    That may be possible.
I've already made a couple casts across the northern boarder.

Nice looking tool Mike. Has possibilities.. A bit of heat paste, or thermal transfer compound, and a few brass shims,,,Bob's your Uncle..

And Rob, Mike ships to the amicable colony just north of Buffalo as well. Less teasing about your spelling,,,hehe...just sayin..

So far I've made it to Quebec, with a anvil. Dont see anything stopping a over pond shipping. Might have to vac pack it, keep the salt away.
But it would probably be sent by plane any who

We've got plenty of Sheffield steel over here. I don't see why there can't be an American railroad track anvil over there! It would be rare to others there.

    Probably wont even need that.
It all depends on how close to the material you are and how hard you blow thru the hose.
Could possibly melt a hole thru the scales, without distortion of the material around it. Its quite precise.
Unless you want to use the round pad

I think Mike polished the wrong side if he's shipping to a UK blade bro though!!

I was actually thinking the thermal paste might stick, or hold the inlay to the heat pad without further adhesive needed. Might transfer to the work, but worth a try on practice pieces. Your tool would heat non conductive inlays as well as conductive too so waayy more option on application. Very neat design Mike, thanks for sharing. That's from where? A leather store?
