Stacked washers are fairly common. Keeps them from deforming as pinned. Brass stacks on old Sheffields, silver on German razors.
I even have an old carved bone razor which has triple stacks. Saved all 12 of them as I reassembled it.
I constantly am finding one which fits good under another."Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 4206Absolutely Mike. I do not have enough gilded stuff in my house to use all this solution on.
So the offer is open!
They have solutions for brass, copper, and chrome as well so I will probably expand the kit to cover other metals over time as well.
Cheers gents.
Found some replacement wheels for my lad so after this weekend I should be able to return to my regularly scheduled hobbies..

Spent the morning setting up shop in the house, down stairs.
Saws n such will stay where they were, I aint unbolting them from the table.
So I'm ready to start fixin up some razzerz..
Next on the cutting board.
Finishing a 3/4" SATINA, that was gifted to me by WW243. Thanks Bill.!!
Just a bit more sanding to be done, will polish all but both sides of the blade, those I'll try for a satin or low luster finish, for name sake. Then see what to do for shoes.
So get at it gents !!
Or am I the only one makin noise anymore.
Off for some yard work, before I get started on this razor.
Mike

I know this doesn't belong here, but I like this little corner.
Here is a mystery razor I just snatched out of the clouds....My hopes are up...
I think of it as NOS with rust....but wonder what the hell it actually is.
Tang stamp: Harley Old Haymarket Liverpool
Steve is kindly helping me with research...I have two sources of my own and Steve kicked in 5 more....off and running. In hand on Tuesday. I'll have to sand the tail so I'm sort of justifying the post"Call me Ishmael"

Shiver me timbers....that is one awesome looking razor - I would have grabbed that faster than a fat kid on a Smarty, or Bill Clinton on an intern for that matter!
And yes, looks untouched - I've found a few like that...looks like it could have been sitting in a box for 100+ years.

Yeah, Bill sent me a pm & I looked up some info on it since I have a Harley blade (one of three) that Jamie sent me awhile back for helping him on the duck hunt. That is a different one & I love it Bill. Wow, a frame back on top of that!!!!! I hope you got it for a steal!
@yotebuster1200, that might be it but I was thinking I saw a more recent one like outback mentioned. Thanks, I saved it!

As I was digging around for my Harley blade I found a Wosty I-XL that needs surgery! It has a crack about 7/16" from the toe & a chip at the heel which isn't a problem at all. It should make a great shorty!!!!
I'm sure if I dig around more, I'll find more.
