I too am grateful for our veterans, there have been a lot of them, some have given their lives, literally others through dedication and many of them have given up the men and women that they were are are forever changed, and not always in a positive way. The ones that seem to be the most forgotten are those that have had their minds scarred and have left them with an inability to co-exhist in society. To all of them, not matter how they have served or continue to serve, I am grateful for their sacrifices.

Here's to all our veterans! Lots of people these days have no idea what they have seen and been through.
Sometimes, I think they are in denial.

Today is also my wife's birthday. While I never served in the armed forces, I have been married to HER for 33 years.
I have seen and done a lot as well. I reckon I am a veteran of THAT anyway!

Shoulda' joined the Marines instead. May have been easier?

    I rest my case.

I too have not forgotten. My thanks go out to all who have served & those who lost their lives trying to keep this world a better place to live, especially our country! I was already thinking of my dad who served along with the many others. It is a happy day as well as a sad one. I'm happy for those who made it back home & that Mike made it, thanks to his hospital care & I'm sad for those who lost their lives serving our country.
Hope you're feeling okay now Mike.

Thanks guys, it means a lot. I spent a week in Oregon visiting my brother when I first left active duty. Some group of 20 something year old punks were sitting around talking about how our military is just a bunch of terrorists, and they would never join. I wanted to punch them all in the throat! It's nice to know that the majority does understand.

    Semper Fi!

Happy birthday, outback. Keep goin' the old machine!
And happy veterans day for you who have veterans. Our last ones are now a couple ancients who fought against fascism in Europe. Cheers to this old guys too. Unfortunately seems lately we had lost the healthy habit to kill fascists as soon as they show their damned faces. Senta a Pua!

Yeah Tom, I wish I had joined against my dads wishes but he didn't want me to because of all he saw. You must be my age give or take a few months because I barely missed the draft when they did away with it.
Please give your wife our birthday wishes as well. I'm sure you got her something really nice & will be taking her out to dinner tonight! She deserves it for putting up with you...................

Just to add to what Thug said, I may never do a real restore, but I have learned so much on specific razor build issues from this thread that I expect to be able to use as I move forward. Have a razor I want to clean up, and may show up asking advice. Thanks for all you all do, and welcome back out Outback!
