The tru oil is good stuff Mike.
Takes a bit to dry between coats
But very durableMike

That just made me crack up laughing what Bill said, all the noise and dust coming from your room.. lol
Hey is that true oil as good as thin CA for soaking deeper into scales for a shallow stabilizing? Reason I ask is that I'm looking for a flexible finish that soaks in deep and so I can get away without having to do a "real" stabilization... but still get that deeper absorption that the thin CA does.“You must unlearn what you have learned.”

I guess it depends on how porous the wood is.
I figure the wood Prodigy sent would best be coated with CA, then do a tru-oil finishMike

Decided to start on my two Griffons today, couldn't stand sitting on my a$$ doing nothing now that I'm home from hospital...AGAIN!!
Removed the crack in the heal on the top blade, and amputated the over honed toe on the other.
