Doing some catching up here. I've had computer issues.
Yeah, they were German made but they used quality made items, no junk!

Condolences for the loss of your avalanche, but thankfully the people got out safe. Always the bright side, hey!
Srdjan, that's the way they all work. I'm just glad everyone was okay. Wow, accidents happening now & the holiday season is about here so the drunks will be out there. Watch out everyone.
It's coming up on 1 year (December 17, 2014) when I wrecked my Harley because of a drunk driver & they are going to settle anytime now. They're all crooks but it's the way it is!
Just thought I'd check in with you guys.................I'm still alive, just dealing with a lot of crap! If it's not one thing, it's another.

I'd love to be part of the building of Tom's scales if we get there.
Here's what I'm going to be tackling next. Phrank thinks it's a WB, I think it's butchered, but someone did try to save it when the tail broke I presume.

Scales are cellulose or plain ole plastic I think, will be opening it up this weekend. Was hoping the tail survived. Will be another first for me trying to figure out how to build a new tailpiece.
Idea welcome on materials and execution.
Wow B52, they kinda went a little too far on that covered tang!(huge tail) It does look like a W&B but it could also be another maker. I can already picture that with a cocobolo covered tang but that's just one option. It is a hard wood.
That is a nice blade though! Someone put those scales on it since it was already apart & a 3 pin on top of that. I guess the original scales were broken as well.

Bought it local. A guy found a bag of old razors inside a wall that was dry walled over during a renovation.
I missed out on an actual Canadian made razor but got this one. Cocobolo would look nice, and is hard.
Will have a better idea what to do once it's layed out.
Was a good day today. My son, very, very sore today, but up and mobile. Truck, written off by insurance Company, for how much, still to be determined.. Weather was very unseasonal and sunny, and I got a few more blades to work on.

Glad your son is ok B52, even if he's sore. I'm glad it wasn't any worse.

This piece of bog oak is almost 6 feet tall! Dont know how heavy it is but its heavy!
Ill try to get some pics of the wood all shined up to give an idea of its final looks but so far I shined up a small piece and its great!
Cost a pretty penny do to the cost of this kind of wood, and the weight.. shipping was crazy.
Looks like an old railway sleeper. Very cool!

Said my heart was out of rythm Put me to sleep and shocked me with 300 jewels ( what ever that is)
Heart rhythm is good. So now off to the cath lab so they can take a look inside.

    Take it easy Mike.
Do as instructed and keep the pressure off.
