I had to look up xiloteque...pretty cool idea even if it is a little sad. I thought you may have meant xylophone...and I was going to say I would like one of those, with all the samples on it, each key a different note.

Ok guys, how can we proceed?
What I got is two pieces of mahogany (reddish, lightweight), a piece of Ipe (Tabebuia sp. - the dirty one, very hard and dense to the point it sinks in water) and a piece of "Cedrinho" (whitish colored on top. I just don't know how it is named in english).

Are these for turning, or cut for scales?

I leave the choice with the artist. Have no idea what can be made of. Ipe is often used as naval material for big boat hulls, mahogany and "cedrinho" for furniture and small objects.

Let's do the following. Most pals are from USA, so PM me the shipping address and I'll send you all four blocks. You chop off what you need/want and pass around the remaining parts for someone else who is in the line, ok?
