Karl, great job on the regrind of the Holley. I'll send you the two we discussed as they have similar pitting. Beautiful restore with the black horn scales and brass cup washers. Austin

Finished reshaping the Herder, skinny. Was a little fat in the heal after cutting, so I used the DMT that Engine46 sent me to thin and shape it. Which then imposed another problem, the thickness of the stabilizer . using a small grinder wheel, and greaseless on small felt wheels, I succeeded in what I wanted to achieve, but not so much in looks.
    It ain't easy thin'n stabilizers. [emoji15]

Looks great from here! The stabilizer issue crossed my mind when you first were talking about making skinnies. I figured it would either be left chunky or you would have to thin it down somehow. Glad to see (and not surprised) you found a way to thin it down! Thanks for sharing, I'm always learning something when I start digging around in here. Nice work!

Nice work on the stab mike. They aren't easy at all.. Only one I tried and franked right up was a vintage GD that needed it removed. Your small wheel idea worked with minimal surrounding effect, not to shab sir..

    Speaking of Mike T.
He sent me a box a while back with a nice slab of bog wood for a little project he wanted me to help on. Along with that he sent me a few mangled Herders as well.
Failed to post them when received, but these will be my first real short shot mods.
