I decided to spring for a Dan’s Arkansas Stone. 8x2 surgical black.

Just to see what an ark would be like, I bought I cheap 4x1.5 Norton slipstone a while ago. I really like the edges I get from it, but I come close to cutting myself constantly while using it. So a larger and symmetrical ark is in order.

Just ordered a 24mm fan shaped knot from Maggards. I am going to drop it into my Rubberset 400 handle. Should be cool.

It'll come dead flat. It will cut relatively quick until it's burnished some... changes its character as the surface breaks in and gets glassy.

WOW, just tried some MDC soap (got 3 samples on my first of vetyver) and I definitely have a new soap. Probably going to order the Fougere scent (other sample I have is original). I also have a gamechanger .84 on the way, have been wanting to have a DE for when I am out of town or in a rush

I picked up two razors. Chips and warps but for the price i can make them work. The warped one has plastic on one side and horn on the other. What some people will do..

Cruising the Bay while bored is always dangerous... I found a LeCoultre for a good price. Little active rust. I will probably leave it unrestored with the patina, as I think it shows well on this razor. (only showing a portion of the pics for these)

The dealer had two other razors. Apparently all three came from an estate of a collector. He had a big W&B wedge that I thought he wanted far too much for. But the other was reasonable, and I like the look of the scales.

Not the same seller, but I thought I'd take a chance on this Ark as well. It will need a soak in some degreaser, but the price wasn't bad. Any thoughts out there on quality of the stone here?

    Got this today...
Begall 7/8 with a chip at the toe. It looks like an easy fix to a round tip.
Felt Pad razor, Keenest Antiseptic in ate up blonde hone scales.
Graco with no hone ware but chipped all to hell. The Scales are fake wood but in great shape. Thinking I can fix up the Felt pad blade and put it in the good fake wood scales. Fix the Bengal by rounding the tip and with a few hours of work I will have 2 good razors for the extreme cost of 15.99 plus shipping.

Pics after a real good de-greasing with a mild solvent will be much more helpful as oil can change the appearances of the stone. You might consider even washing the stone well after the solvent with something like Dawn liquid dish soap and as hot of water you can stand to remove as much as possible before allowing to dry well and then taking pics.

    Just a thought

Rockwell 6C DE and stand. Maggard 26mm synthetic brush.

If I can find a decent Shea butter smelling soap, the brush will go to a family member that I'm trying to proselytize... hopefully.

If that works out, I'm thinking another DE might be in order to join the brush and soap.

Fairly new to this, so hopefully everything's good, but this just shipped out for me.

Side question, any input on what the 40 is for?
