This is a matter of perspective to me.

For example.

If I have a busy weekend time seems to fly by. But when I look back on that weekend it seems very long.

Very boring everyday work things take forever to get to the end of the day. But in hindsight it seems just like yesterday that I did that. Of course I did that yesterday and also fifteen years ago and many days in between.
