Must say I was a little taken by the Brazil vs Mexico match. Mexico put up a good fight.

Congrats Holland and Australia for making such a great game. Although i was all for Holland, i was sorry to see Aussies to lose for such an vacuum cleaner 3-2 goal. Cahill was great (but so was Robben too).

    Another fine match.
Australia is not a bad team at all, they really came close to upsetting the Dutch stars in this game.

AUS - NED I dropped everything I was doing to fully watch this game. Nail biting game at times. Kudos to the Aussies but the Dutch just had that bit more experience and team spirit.

    Ditto to everything above.

Brasil-Mexico was an excersize in nervous excitement. Awesome match. Oshowa goal keeping.

1/2st half of the NED-AUS, had NED looking human again and really great hard work from the AUSies who *nearly* pulled off the upset of upsets.

Take you're football matchup sheets and statistics and burn them. This is the best cup I've seen to date.

And now?? Chile is up on Spain 2-0 going 47:36 into the game. Chileans look fantastic.

I usually hate soccer, but for the world series I make an exception for Belgium. This year is also the first time that the entire country seems to rally behind the team. We never used to do that at all, but this year the country is going slightly bananas with 'red devil' craziness. It's fun, I have to admit. And we do have a number of world class players.

I watched the match yesterday. The first half was just crap. Very slow, no guts. Second half was an amazing improvement and the game finally started happening.
