Thanked: 4207Our composting is almost nil with the garbarator working properly.
Mostly just the banana peels and beef bones really.
Got everything back in order and because I had to shorten pipes anyway, ended up with a slightly better drain slope in the basement towards the out pipe outta the deal.
Now to continue cleaning the shop up!
Enjoy the last bit of 2018 if you can men!"Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

It was what went in there that may have been sick that was the scary thing.

This last weekend i went thru all my drill bits and tossed out a lot of junk and worn out bits. All my extra long ones and specialty bit i put in a drawer of my tool box but all the others went onto this board i mounted above the work bench. Now i dont have to dig for them any more...
Yes shaun, the sickness took over again.Last edited by Gasman; 01-18-2019 at 09:29 AM.

Thanked: 4207Very cold night up here tonight so I played a bit in the shop.
The top ones a diablo style in 10k gold and olive wood,
Middles a Napoleon style, also gold with a Swarovski crystal adornment and swirled acrylic body.
And the one on the bottom is a titanium Diablo turned from actual jack danials barrel wood.
Cheers men, hope you are someplace warm tonight."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

Thanked: 4207This weekend I committed to making my first marriage cup for one of my men’s daughter who’s getting married end of month.
Started with some mulberry and a glass for the template
Mark up my key dimensions and start to shape.
Before I lose to much support, hollow out the cup.
The marriage cup has two captive rings symbolizing the bride and grooms wedding rings, which needed a unique tool to be made to undercut the beads into full rings. The story is, like the rings, the couple are forever independent, but held, or captured by the marriage to work together. The story goes the marriage will last as long as the rings don’t break, lol.. an Irish thing..
Once all the sanding on the rings and goblet was completed I was able to reduce the stem, gently, and am now ready to part it off.
Finish will be water based poly and a 3 week cure.
Cheers men, thanks for looking.

Thanked: 4207Very much and tongue biting, swearing and catches, lots of catches.
If you look in the last picture before it’s parted, you can see the different jaw marks from where she jumped out at me and I had to reset her, a few times,,,,
Got lucky, and of course we never show those shots, hehe.
Pretty wood to work with and a nice smell while turning. Now to finish..
