That’s a great mod Roy. A plug in auxiliary power port!
    Always handy.
The family ring idea, thanks gents, it just sort of evolved.
Couldn’t have done it without the sweet piece of bog mike gifted me a while back.
Both mother and daughter really like the matched rings.
More subtle then matching sweat suits when we are all out and about together too. Hehe

Just started a new biz last week. Boat repair and buffing.
Working on finding an indoor space (with air conditioning and no mosquitos!) Because this heat is a killer!
    My first job.
Needed some fiberglass repair, gelcoat, and a new bumper rail. Buffing now.
I'm tired and sore, but it pays well and I'll be independent.
Very excited! But no time for SR projects or forum.
I hope you guys are having a great summer so far.
Try to have some fun for me, because it will be all work work work for a while!

What better way to spend a heat wave. Feels good having every pore open and drippy, now and then.. plus the pool is handy for when I can’t take it any longer..
    Cheers gents.

Looks good Mike, I presume that they will all be cemented into place eventually?

Limestone screening under slabs, and a polysand “grout” between the stones. Water activated hardening sand that will hopefully tie it in to the lower deck area esthetically.
The way I’ve been building it, everything locks in to the step below it and the underside of the edge of each tread will be polyurethane bonded to the riser it rests on.
Almost ready to set.. back is so delicate tonight. Stretching Hurts.

    The stairs look great!
You should probably stretch out that back daily.

OMG it has been the hottest days of the season this week. Progress slower accordingly.
Trimming by scoring the tops with and angle grinder, then cold chisel and mallet back and forth across the score line till I create the breaks where I want them.
Only took about 2000 blows to clean up these stones.

The limestone bed is in place, as are the rocks. Tomorrow I seal with the poly sand and put the butt in the smoker for Sunday’s shave get together..

And I thought I was looking scruffy this week!

Are you going to give a demo at the Ontario GTG 2019?

Nearly done. Need to fill in the right side of the stair run with boulders and stones, neaten up the left side some as well.

The polysand worked the charm. Pack and spritz, come back 15 minutes later and soak better. Hardens right up like cement.
Will see if it lasts, says it remains flexible, to a point.
    Cheers gentlemen.
