Nice try, ultra right winger bait tactics don't work with me. We are discussing the legality of Religion in the USSR. It was and still is that simple. It was not illegal to practice Religion.

If you actually practiced Christianity you would be speaking out against the state which was illegal. Hence, Christianity was illegal. Make sense?

You're argument is crap. They could say all day long that it was legal, but they did not treat it that way. The constitution could say anything it wanted, but if there were negative consequences by the government towards Christians it wasn't really legal was it?

This is not even germane to the topic at hand. The USSR is defunct, and there are no lingering sects that "threaten Christianity". Your argument is moot.
