Thanks Tom, remember me pining away looking at pictures of the original interior and wishing I could restore it to something close.
while it isn’t a plc5,,it’s a plc6 ignition, and a few of the buttons won’t be period correct they are close enough and it works as a whole.
I’m going to add a straight vertical section, below this in matching mahogany as well to hold everything that wasn’t oem. The ashtray, lighter, cup holders, heater, and seat heater controls, phone cradle etc. it’ll be centrally mounted and constructed to compliment the original style, but seperate so as not to take away the flow of the original,, I hope anyway..

I too llike to do things to a driver which work better and still look proper.

You’ve had a hand in a few of the decisions, purchases, and plans on this car and I’ve appreciated the help along the way.

After many months delay these are finally being shipped. Much to my relief.

I can then finish the front of the car, and figure out my last few challenges like final peddle geometry etc.
Oh yeah, and be able to get her running,, hehe
Will look similar to this Morgan installation when done, and this picture was where the idea comes from actually.

Dammit, another customs charge but the carbs have crossed the border!
    Should have them mid week.
Dealing with some wiring challenges and fiddly stuff while the weather is up and down like a toilet seat.
My dash extension and associated trim needed a revisit as it drops a little to close to the knee when installed so I may leave that entire piece till the end to ensure it works as intended, or scrap the whole idea and go plan B, from the floor.

Buddy seems a little concerned about the u joints but need not be.
Got new ones for the ole shaft!
My machinist opted to use D2 for the new shaft main tube and I couldn't be happier with the work.

And officially, I now really have everything back that I’ll need to get the car completed!
May take the first week of April off, or the week of Easter to get the bulk of the remaining big stuff done!
So very close to the end but still so much to do, and not skipping steps or skimping at the end gets really hard with the prize so close.
    Cheers gents.

Soon the car will be finished, summer will be here, and you can go cruising with the top down, your moustache flapping in the breeze, it will be great.
