Thanked: 3I must say, I just ran into a new favorite. One of the guys who works for me gave me a bottle of Repent Ale, brewed by DuClaw brewing in Abingdon, MD. If you're a fan of Abbey Dubbles or Tripels, you'll LOVE this one. They only sell it every other year and each bottle is numbered. The one given to me was #345 out of 500. VERY good beer, but watch out, its got a 14% bite! Its ambush beer. It sneaks up on you and whacks you right in the head!!!

The CEOs from Schlitz, Budweiser and Guinness all went out to lunch. Naturally, the Schlitz exec ordered a Schlitz. The head of Budweiser ordered a Bud. Imagine their surprise when the Guinness man just ordered a black coffee. The other two looked at each other and one of them says, "You're not having a Guinness?" "I've no wish to rude," is the reply. "Rude? How would that be rude?" he asks of the Guinness boss. "Well," answers he, "If you two aren't to be having beer, I'll not be drinking it either."

Thanked: 1Delirium Nocturnum - one of my new favorites. A belgian beer, so it packs a punch, but it isn't noticeable. Tastes great!

Oh, this is difficult to answer... I would say the Belgian trappist beers (Orval, Chimay, Rochefort, Westmalle, Westvleteren and Achel), Duvel, Guinness, Hoegaarden, Pecheresse, Mort Subite...

Thanked: 0anyone from uk will be aware of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ales) their are a few pubs in liverpool which are camra pubs specializing in real ales Doc Duncans is probably best, a whole pub full of draught ale, mmmmmmmmm. Have to agree with most people guiness draught or the export version is very nice but a little difficult to get but as far as ale goes you really should try Cains Liverpool 08 BEER, very good.

Thanked: 0I love Orval, Chimay Blue, Westmalle Tripel (in that order), Guinness, Sam Adams Summer Ale, Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat. I got a bottle of 3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek (a very sour cherry beer) when I visited the brewery in Belgium and it was amazing. Basically I like anything, but, if I have the money, my favorites are the Belgian specialties and hard-to-finds.
