I am sorry, that's extremely hard to have happen.

Here's a new picture of our pup. She's 9 months old and finally got to go back to the dog park with the good weather.

No that pistol isn't the only thing under my kilt, but I can tell you both of them work just fine

I knew that the dog lovers here would sympathize with me,but is that the strangest thing youve ever heard? I'm still a little freaked out at it, it's as if the cosmos gave me a smack in the face and said "you want an answer? you've got it"

I took my husky to play with my daughter's boyfriend's GSD pup. It took him a while to calm down, but they had fun. Kinda a different color for a GSD.

For those that read my pup Shelby(lab/American bulldog mix) blew out her acl two weeks ago and finally had her surgery yesterday. She came through with no setbacks(except the $2600) so I guess my prayers were answered. Luckily she's got more of the bulldog temperment as she now has to stay in her crate resting for the next 4-6 weeks and walked on a leash to use the bathroom. And using the bathroom is the only time we can have her out. It breaks my heart seeing her in her crate and all she wants is to be with us relaxing, 4-6 weeks baby girl and you'll be back in business. Just thought id update. The road to recovery has begun.

    Default PART TWO

That's almost inconceivable, this Sunday while walking my dog with my best friend who owns her half-sister we were walking around a lot and the subject we were talking about was their age, their condition and how long we thought they had being that they're both in good health, his dog Angel is six months younger. Well, we had gone around the track twice and come to the conclusion that they were both in pretty good shape other than their back legs, the knees aren't what they used to be with arthritis and age, I'm sure you guys know the story, but as the words came out of my mouth that other than their legs, they're in pretty good shape for twelve year old dogs and probably have a couple good years left, at that point we turned around to see where they were and saw Angel on the ground doing what we thought was rolling around in bird crap as anyone with an outdoor dog will tell you they love to do, so as we started walking towards her. We noticed she wasn't breathing, at which point we ran, her eyes were open but she wasn't breathing we performed CPR on this dog for almost a half an hour, and she almost came back to us, but after the 30 min. her bladder let go her gums turned white, and we lost her. I have never seen my friend more shocked and stunned it all the time. I know him (over 40 yrs) my son came with the truck. We loaded her in the back and my dog, Comet got in with her, leaned up against her and didn't make a sound. We got her back to my house called the vet and brought her there for overnight storage, so to speak. This had to be one of the strangest days of my life. I'm not sure if this was some cosmic coincidence as my words were still hanging in the air but after reflecting on it for a bit I realized this is probably the best way your best friend can go, she was in the park with her sister and her master. Having a great time and pretty much gone before she hit the ground. I'm still a little shook up by this ordeal as I carried that puppy back on my lap for six hours while we drove back from the breeder as he did for me five months earlier, the bond between man and dog can sometimes be tighter than men have for each other. Just a strange story. I thought I had to share.
As if that story wasn't strange enough, this past Sunday,MY dog Comet,Angel's sister started coughing like she was chocking on something, but then she was fine, this went on through the night,I took her to the vet the next day and she was in Atachicardia If that's spelled right, but it meant that she was about to go into congestive heart failure, but if not for the coughing I never would have known anything was wrong.Long story short, about $1100 later she's doing fine and looks like someone rolled back the odometer about 75,000mi,...the things well do for our dogs really has no limit.

The more I watch my dog, the more I am convinced that if given a choice, I want to come back in my next life as her. Spoiled rotten, and noon isn't a bad time to take a nap.

Here is our boy Volt a Lab mix. My wife and I rescued him from a shelter a couple weeks ago. Here he is waking up next to mommy in the morning and wrapped up trying to break a fever that surfaced 4 days after bringing him home.

Here's a good reason not to take your Husky to the ball game! I have no problem at all trying to imagine my dog doing this. This dog doesn't have a care in the world, had they thrown it a ball, they would have never gotten it off the field.
