One good thing about our times, there are lots of fine beers, ales, etc. being made. More than I will ever have time to sample in my lifetime, I guess.

If I had to name one favorite brewery, it would be Goose Island in Chicago; partly because they are local, but mainly because they have a really excellent lineup. And out of that if I had to name one favorite brew, it would be Honker's Ale--full-bodied, with a full, sharp, hoppy flavor that I find hits the spot any time of year.

To which I could add Great Lakes Brewing Company's Nosferatu for fall, PacÃfico, Guinness of course ... well, I could go on and on. And most recently in Aberdeen I had a very fine local brew called Macbeth--Deeside is the brewery, I think. I don't know if it's even available outside Scotland.

And I'm reminded that I really have to try some of Bell's brews. My daughter goes to college in Michigan, so it's really my duty.

    Thumbs up

Otter Creek Copper Ale and Long Trail Ale.

Stella Artois -- but it's gotta be on tap. Bottled just doesn't cut it.

    Namaste,
    Morty -_-

    The staples:

    Grimbergen golden
    Leffe
    Dogfish Head - Midas Touch
    Delerium Tremens
Unibroue - Le Fin Du Monde
    Alaskan - Baltic Porter
    Moylan's Russian Imperial Stout
    North Coast - Old Rasputin
Russian River - Pliny the Elder
    Green Flash West Coast IPA
    Deschutes - Abyss
    Anderson Valley - Oatmeal Stout
Big Sky Brewing Co. - Winter Solstice

Right now I'm drinking my favorite spring/summer beer: Big Sky Brewing Co. - Summer Honey

Growing up in California has certainly spoiled me when it comes to beer.

And I must admit, an ice cold tall can of Bud Light or Coors Light can hit the spot at the right time and place.

Wow, You guys have me beat in experience, that's for sure... However, I've always been fond of Guinness, and, my all-time favorite, compliments of my father, Amber Bock.

Nothing high class or exotic, but, when the day is done, they taste fantastic.

And at least it's not Busch/Coors/Bud Lite.... I do not have a "college pallete"
