Thanked: 6wow, so much good taste in one place!
I have to second the Chamay (red in particular, I reckon) as well as add some Samuel Smith; particularly the oatmeal stout. This with a bright little IPA like harpoon makes a wonderful black and tan

Thanked: 3I enjoy trying new beers. Some of my favorites are Delirium (Tremens, Noel, want to try the rest but I can't find them), Unibroue La Fin Du Monde, Pliny the Elder (haven't tried younger yet), a few beers from Stone brewery (Double Bastard Ale, Imperial Russian Stout), and Young's Double Chocolate...
There are so many beers but those are a few of my favorites off the top of my head.

Thanked: 137My favourite beer is from a local microbrewery called 'Green Man' - it's a doppelbock matured on barrel staves from Scotch whiskey barrels, imparting a strong whisky flavour. This is then blended with Green Man's Stout, to form what they call their "Strong" - a dark rich beer with notes of vanilla, scotch, toffee and chocolate. Very nice but hard to get in the US I'm sure.

Thanked: 2Granville Island Pale Ale from here in Vancouver. We have tons of great microbrews around here, but I think the GI Pale is the benchmark.
Oh - and I rather like all the yummy micros from our neighbours to the South in Oregon.

Must admit have not drank it for a few years but Lapin Kulta is a great larger. Drank it a few years back in Helsinki. Drank way too much but no hangover the following day.
Here in Ireland I drink mainly Guinness, the odd Beamish Red if I can get it.
If I drink a larger it is Heineken.
Was in NZ for a few weeks in 2008 at a friends wedding, drank Mack's Gold (nice bottled larger), Speight's Distinction & Monteiths Original.
I went on the Monteiths brewery tour in Greymouth so tried the Radler (not a hugh fan), Pilsner (nice), Golden Larger (perfer the pilsner), Celtic Red (ok) & Black (prefer Guinness). Was one of the last to leave the tour to go to the BBQ, so more time spent at the pour your own session.

Depends on the time of day, season etc. Dupont Saison, La Chouffe, Optimator and yes even Miller High Life (after all it is the champagne of beers).
