Anybody who will drink Chimay Blue should know about Victory V-12. A supremely good, chewy, BIG Belgian, 12% ABV.

the corked big bottles are 8$, and head to head theres no contest, it'll beat Chimay like a rented mule. And I LIKE Chimay, it's just watered down by comparison.

And made, of all places, in Brooklyn. Go figure..

Thanks for that, I might have to plunder a few corner stores in the Heights to find some. In the meantime I have the Thelonious Monk to get to sometime. Recommended.

Big Plus 1 on the Killians Irish Red, Ice Cold in a Pint Glass...There's nothing better.....!

    Close Second: Sam Adams.....

I like Hoppy beers, not that yellow **** stuff, has to have body and flavor, I can drink Guinness, but prefer the inbetween brews.....

Either Genisis or Messiah Bold by the Schmaltz Brewing Co. in SanFrancisco, this is proof that beer is food!

    Default My homebrew!

I would have to say my own homebrew depending on what I make, but as far as commercial beer goes, The Celebrator from Ayinger is outstanding!

I couldn't name a favorite, but in general I like black lagars, porters, and stouts. I don't particularly enjoy the bland ones (I find Guinness in the US, for example, to be very bland). I do enjoy a lighter beer now and then when I just want something refreshing, but I have yet to meet an IPA or anything of the like that I enjoy.

I picked up a 6 pack of this tonight, not too bad. Belgian tripel style. This is more of a summer beer for me though.
