Truly the list could go on for pages, but I must give a special nod to ...

    Creemore Springs Lager in Ontario
Pilsner Urquel Lager from the Czech Republic ... and ...
    Guiness stout (needs no introduction)

Funny, I listed two lagers and a stout, but I usually drink pale ale.

(@ GadgetGeek) Don't know if they have Outback steakhouse in Canada but in the last couple of years they've brought out more than just Fosters there now - Cooper's, Tooheys, Boags Premium etc. Only place in the States I've found Tassie beer so far.

In PA though, can't go past Yuenglings' Black & Tan or their regular lager. Spent some time in Az and really like Oak Creek nut brown ale

You can never go wrong with a nice cold Guinness. The extra stout is pretty good as well. Two of my all time other favorites are Killians Irish Red, and Blue Moon (especially with a orange slice floating around!). I heard Smithwick's is pretty good, never gave it a try though.

@iwilson, They do, however I've heard that some of the "aussie" beer in canada is actually just re-brew from molson's, not sure. Stella in oz is brewed there, so it tastes different than the true import we get here. if they have real tooheys that'd be worth the fake accents! although I'm happy to have different beers in different places, makes life interesting.

Chimay Blue, Red or White Label, Frauch Ale from Scotland, any kind of Dobbelbock... hmmm I'm streching my brain here as it's been 3 years since I've been able to get REAL beer and have to make do with San Mig or Red Horse.

I agree with the Chamay Blue, Red, and white label (In that order). However, though French-Canadian, The entire Unibroue line is stellar! My top three if twisted would have to be the Don-De-Dieu, Trois Pistoles, and the new Terrible. But that's the Belgium side. If ya wanna get Dark as sin, which I'm sure there's a strong following here, Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout, Left Hand's milk Stout, and if ya wanna go a little sweeter, Young's Double Chocolate Stout. And as this thread was begun, we must not forget Guinness extra stout. A thing of beauty.

So many good beers to choose from. Even with brewing my own beer and cider, I still love to try new commercial brews (local and imports). The Belgian beers and British real ales have a special place in my heart. Which ones are my favorites? Depends on the moment.

Some of my personal favorites are:

    Anchor Steam Porter

Sierra Nevada Big Foot Barley Wine

    Duvel

    Chimay Blue

    Greeneking Abbott Ale

    Adnams Broadside

    Franziskaner - Hefe-Weisse Dunkel

    Rauchenfelser Steinbrau

    Schlenkerla Rauchbier

and of course - Arrogant Bastard.
