Well I did it!! I reeled in it's bigger brother the MUWAT +11. A nice looking 5.5 X 52 Rubusto (I am over the weird name now).

I re-created last night's environment as best I could with my drinking chocolate and off I went .

Clearly Tigger wanted something other than... drinking chocolate at this hour. Beer maybe?

These smokes are just constructed like champs!! Great smoke output, razor straight burn... no soft spots! Champs I say! And the draw is fantastic too!

Just look at that tight ash!

Alas maybe Tigger is so foul because the hot chocolate was too hot. That first sip just about scorched me, so I can't speak truthfully to the taste but, it was very much like the Bait Fish. Nice and dirty but subtle about it with a clean finish... YUM!!

Even at this point it was still burning cool!!

I nubbed this cigar as I did it's little brother last night. Somehow I have to give the edge to the Bait Fish as I was hoping for some more complexity due to its size but again, that drink may have bastardized my pallet a bit. Ether way - great smokes.

Considering I got these smoke for under $3.50 (with shipping) - what a deal! If I can get that price next payday, I'll be buying more!

Well if you have been following along I wasn't too impressed with the San Lotano "The Bull," but the Oval gets such good reviews, I thought I would give it a try.

This is a great cigar. Fantastic construction yadda, yadda, yadda...

What really drew me to the cigar was its oval construction (hence the name) and it's habana 2000 wrapper. Never had either. I liked them both. The shape feels right in the hand. Nice heavy sitting smoke. But that wrapper was outstanding. Now I'll never buy more as its too corojo for me without being a corojo... but it was interesting - I liked it.

    Oh man... that hurts.

On that note - today saw me saying the same thing. I have loved just about every Illusione I have ever smoked, so I bought a box of little 4x44 Illusione "68's" never even having had one as I like this size in the winter.

Buying the box was a bit of a rookie mistake considering the cigar left me a little dry - literally lol.

Maybe it's just that the MUWAT Bait Fish was so good that I expected more from the Illusione - it smoked well though. Taste is ok, but a little boring. Maybe it just needs more time to rest.

I did the same when I started smoking...bought a box in a smaller size because I wanted a faster smoke. Turns out it was low quality short filler and barely tasted ok. Still trying to get rid of it :/

Not only is this stick well constructed - it burns slow and cool. You can leave it and it has no issue coming back to life! The construction - again - is great. But how does it taste? Well if you look at my final photo you'll note the cigar is resting on a coke. I don't drink much soda as a rule but, the initial blast of metallic... something, was too much for my pallet to handle. I wasn't going to give up right off - but I needed something to kill the taste - I mean complement it lol. If I didn't want to love the thing, I might have been tempted to throw it out right there lol.

Now before getting discouraged or thinking I am crazy because you love these sticks know this: A. I broke one of my rules smoking this stick. I only let it sit in my Humi for 8 days. And B. the taste did settle down.

Considering how well the cigar performed burning though, I fear that this is ultimately its flavor, though it did mellow into something respectable. I'll let the other 4 sit for a couple of months. I am still hoping .

Any of you guys smoke this stick?
Just a quick follow-up: Not letting this stick rest for a while before smoking it was a crime. I had another last night after letting it sit for a little over a month in my humi and wow. Great cigar. Not the flavor profile I am looking for in an everyday cigar, but great smoke all the same!!
