A little CD exclusive to wind down the day in my Savinelli Punto Oro. Very light and delicate pipe with magic smoking qualities. I wonder how it smokes cooler and drier than my chunkier pipes? I have to say pipe design has to be one part science another part alchemy with a touch of shamanism. I never know why some pipes smoke as well as they do and others so so.

Some Haunted Bookshop in a Castello Collection Fiammata, already had Old Joe Krantz and Bayou Morning, this morning.

Really happy to be able to use my skuttle, missed that when I was on vacation.

A word on smoking indoors. I generally smoke outdoors but my wife smokes the occasional cigarette in one room of the house. During the winter months I got the silly idea that I would smoke my pipe in that very same room that stunk of cigs anyway. Smoking indoors made all the difference for a lot of problems I may of had in the past with gurgling and and generally having a frustrating smoke. I mostly smoked burley and Virginias, Vapers that sort of thing with no problems. the day I lit a bowl of NightCap I woke her out of her sleep and she was ready to chase me out. Very funny how a Latakia bomb can affect some folks. Anyway weathers getting nice again and I'm going back to my stoop. Happy piping.

Very nice afternoon here with a break between rains. So a bowl of McBaren HH Bold Kentucky really stunned and relaxed me. The tobacco is a touch sweet but generally was just straight forward excellent tobacco flavors. Pipe is a GDB estate.

Tomorrow I am looking forward to Tsuge's Ryujin: The Dragon God. I love the warning on the back of the tin. "Not for the meek or faint of heart, the breath from this Dragon will fly you to an alternate reality". : ) We will see.

Today i learned that pipe smoking and making maple syrup are a good combination.

Both are slow moving and relaxing.

    I recommend the combination!
