    So far I've sampled 3 tobaccos and this is my favorite. Thank you Jimmy

    The first bowl did not seem storing for 7 years was worth the effort.

    However, the second and the third bowls said the wait was most definitely worth cellaring the tins (I have one more from 11/2009).

    I have read when cellaring tobacco a little air exposure would enhance the product. I have also read never to open a tin before you are ready to load the pipe.

    This experience would imply letting the tin rest a day after a long storage would help the first bowl.

    I recently went through a couple of pounds of 965 bulk that I got from a guy who quit smoking. He said it had been in jars for 2 years. Great stuff....... while it lasted .........

    Here is a pair of Castello sea rocks from the 1980s. Got them from a guy who used to go over there and buy direct. He had never smoked them. I've had them for years by now, and they are both great smokes. A shape 75 lovat, and a shape 32 Canadian ;

    Just got a dual shipment of tobacco in. 10oz. Of Shortcut to Mushrooms, 3.5oz. McClellan Blackwoods Flake, and 1.76oz. McClelland Frog Morton on the Bayou. I quarter loaded a bent Dr. Grabow with the Frog Morton and am puffing on it right now trying it. So far it is quite good. I definitely prefer it over the Captain Black I have been roasting tongue with lately. This is the first tobacco purchase I have made for quality leaf in a loooonnnggg time. I like the Frog Morton on the Bayou. It says a Balkan blend with perique. Whatever it is I do like it. I am glad to be back puffing some good leaf. Tomorrow on the ride home it shall be Shortcut to Mushrooms.....

    Thank you. My main Castello collecting has been shape 75 lovats with 32 Canadians a close second. In my younger days the longer the shank the better, but in my advanced age, not so much. Still like the long ones, but the short ones are fine too.
