Still enjoying reading the posts but with my dad's serious health problems, I started inhaling my pipe. Old habits die hard. Taking about a week off but then will start again with some English blends (can't inhale those, even if I wanted to). Seems like I struggle with this once or twice a year and it really upsets me. The only way to stop is to take a week off from my pipes. When you start inhaling, even just a little, it takes away your ability to taste the tobacco and for me all the enjoyment from my pipes.

Certainly the worry about your Dad is most understandable as your love for him leaves you in that frame of mind.
I hope you can avoid the inhaling as you are well aware of the consequences of doing that and you are not personally responsible for your Pop being ill.
You have many cyber friends here who support you during this difficult time.

Thanks, I spent about seven weeks down in Florida (end of July to early September) when he had to have his first leg amputated. Had to have his second one amputated November 16th. With work etc., I have not been able to be there this time and being away is even harder than being there. He's 84, on dialysis and other health issues but being so far away is difficult.

Just need to give myself a weeks break and all will be well in my pipe world, again.

Take a break Sir- Do some reloading/shooting and let your mind rest. Smoke a pipe and enjoy the calm.
