Thanked: 983The rubber 'stem savers' are not to bad on flatter stems, but make the rounder ones like those on the Pete systems feel a bit bulky. You do get used to it up to a point though.

Thanked: 1160Well.....I got no choice. Pipes are expensive and if I don't take care now, I'm gonna have a lot of pipes with chew holes. Y'all can call me Jaws lol. Off for a cutthroat shave and then work errrgh ! Cheers you guys .

I put softies on all of my pipes, and I really like them. I'm kinda weird, though.

Thanked: 983I like them too, don't get me wrong. I was just saying that on a Pete system stem they add a bit of extra fat to the mouth feel. They're absolutely useless on the fishtail stem of a Pete Churchy though. Too big and slide down-stem all the time. Great if you like to spear the back of your throat with pipe stems when not taking care and bumping the pipe in you mouth (Yep that was a personal experience right there ).
