No, but it's the same model (the wizard). Found at the same price here.

Having a bowl of Three Nuns in the Vauen Billiard. This is a very good and tasty tobacco. Kind of reminds me of MacBaren Old Dark Fired.

I've been curious about that brand. My local sells it. Pretty much a straight Virginia then ??

I am not sure. It's described as a dark fired Kentucky and Virginia blend. What I do know is that it is a good tasting, good smoking tobacco.

Very interesting. Are they sort of an indian pipes or something? I've seen some pics from the books about tobacco smoking history. As far as i know, pipes with long stem, 'churchwardens' were much more common back 100-200 years ago. Sort of a standard equipment of almost every household. I have no idea about US but in Northern Europe there has been 'once-so-popular' pipe model called hose pipe. Sort of a model you smoke while sitting in a chair. The stem is replaced with a hose. Totally forgotten these days.

Not so many years ago those old pipe racks were still not so rare at flea markets and domestic web auctions. Still see every now and then but nowadays bit pricey.
Here's two pics of our recent domestic web auctions. The first one had a starting bid of 19.90 € and got no bids at all (too sorry i'm not so active on the site so i didn't see it) and the second ended at about 90.00 € with several bids. Most of these items are from about 1860-1890.
It would be easy to make a rack like that but would be cool to have a pipe from 100-150 years ago.

Howevers. Due the hard ice situation at sea i got home late this evening and mrs. Sailor was already sleeping. That's ok, after spending my time in iron coffin for a week i enjoy privacy. So i decided to spent few hours before going to bed by listening to oldies fm and reading about folklore horror etc stories. Beer from Lapland and Commonwealth from Punto Oro.
