I was going to say have a bowl and relax but with the little head in the background that may not be possible for many more years!

That reminded me of the time I went white-water rafting in Tennessee with a bunch of other tourists. I was on the port rear of the raft, just ahead of the helmsman (lady). We were in the backwater going though the practice drill prior to the rougher stuff. After a bit of practice time, she called a stop and said to me, "Y'all shure ar goud pad'ler. Ah'm havin' ter really counter steer ever' tahm y'all dig yer pad'el in. Ha' y'all dern this a'for?" Which I took to mean I was really good at paddling, and she had to make allowance for the forces trying to send the raft to the right, and that she was really impressed with me.

Going out right now, for a Pete 317 and a bowl full of some gold from Denver. Pilots Mix.

Last night's pipe was my Capri, bent free hand full of Old Shenandoah Barrel No. 76 while ripping through the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee in my truck just enjoying the crisp weather.

It is ok but wet- as is a lot of Lane blends. I find myself enjoying the Englishes and Virginias more and more lately. I burned through a tin of Dunhill flake in record time recently. Poof! And it was gone! I actually had some Capt. Black "Black Sea" the other night that was good, but the pipe was swimming! I was shocked by the moisture in the bowl. It may have been the outside air too.

My trip today fell through because my wife became ill.

    Time to improvise....

This morning I bought 16 padlocks, only 2 had keys. Now to see if I can get the other 14 open...

My 4 year old grandson came to vist and we took a walk in the park looking for/finding mushrooms. Then I tried to keep him out of my castle at the playground but he took his shoes and socks off so he could climb the slide and he usurped me. After playing soccer with some neiborhood boys we watched as they made some new curbs on the neighborhood streets. I only had to tell him once to stay a safe distance! Did you know that concrete comes out of the truck down a slide?

My wife is feeling better this evening so not as bad of a day as it could have been.
