I have not posted in a while but I have lurked here and there. Now that the cold is upon us I have hunkered in the garage with a giant Rattray filled with 965 and a bit of Earl Grey. Cheers!

Take Steph's word for it it is a nice shop. I will stop there again next time I am in Denver.

Hopefully Steph wil be there also!
Yes it is the very shop and if you tell me when you will be there,I shall be there also. Crack that Port for Christmas or Thanksgiving and have a pipe along with it most definitely.
Port is definitely by favorite sippin hooch and if I'm drinking through the meal or night then it's Cider. I like the sweet booze....fruit beers,Apple or Pear Shnapps you betcha . And I loves me some Pilots mix of which I am going to now fire up a churchwarden full. October has been a real witch this year and I am wore out like a twenty dollar basket pipe !!

If I'm ever over in the US again, I plan on visiting that shop and buying out their entire stock of Pilots Mix. Just had a puff of the stuff in my trusty Pete 317. Now it's to bed for me.

Another bowl of Haunted Bookshop in a Castello. The Haunted Bookshop is the first Burley, Virginia, Perique that I've had in quite a while. I'm actually enjoying the Burley in it. Really only opened it for Halloween a few days ago.

A treat arrived today. I just came home from work an hour or so ago and low and behold a sample of C&D Exclusive was in my mailbox. So being a man of action I opened it up and to my amazement that sample was more like a months supply in my pipe world. Happy for its arrival I packed a bowl in my right now really good smoking Killarney and proceeded to taste the 50 % Perique mixture. What a smoke. This was right up my alley Red Virginia, Perique and Cavendish, powerful yet had some sweetness from the Virginia and as the bowl progressed became more peppery and just a great potent smoke. Thanks to Pipeguy for making this happen. Fans of Vapers have to give this one a try. Im a fan already and will dive deeper into the blend in the near future. Cheers and good night I have to be back at work at 7 am.

A filigreed Medico and stand that was gifted to me by a dear old friend when he stopped smoking quite a few years ago, filling it with Bayou Morning. This one and the stand are priceless to me.

After deciding that 9 pipes is more than enough and that I shouldn't buy any more, I've ordered a new one. The place I order tobacco from got falcon shilellaghs in stock and before I knew what was happening there was one in the mail along with a couple of nice dark plugs. I've been having a go at Peterson's Irish Flake recently. Just my kind of thing. One slice will fold up and twist nicely into three of my pipes, but the rest are a bit smaller.

Picked this up but wanted to know if there were any techniques to use in cleaning it up. It's in good working order as is but I would like to clean it up with out hurting the plating. Is there anything that will loosen the flint dust?
