Thanked: 1185Three fingers Jimmy Beam with a spash of ginger ale and a splash of lemon juice tonight. When I finish this bottle I think I treat myself to some Makers Mark. By the time I finish that, the spring will be upon us and I'll need to increase my quinine intake to stave off malaria. April or so is gin and tonic season in my little piece of the universe. Fall and Winter is bourbon season. Spring and summer is for gin and tonics and the occassional rum boat drink. Cold beer is of course a constant.

Had a dram of The Black Grouse!
Only 96 to go in the list.
I compared it with a taste of the regular Famous Grouse and it was fun to try and find the similarities between the two. I'm not sure how successful I was so I will have to try again some time.

Tonight's dram:
Asyla from The Compass Box. I enjoyed it too. This whisky is sweet with a main flavor of apple with vanilla. It dries out over the long finish with just a hint of smoke but not much. Not a Peat Fan's whisky but a good glass none the less!
#6 from 101 whiskies to try before you die!

Johnnie Walker Black. I just got into whisky recently. I was rather shocked to find out how good it tasted when I actually took the time to check out the flavor, as opposed to slamming a shot quickly to avoid it.

Tonight is all about the Double Old Fashioned c0cktail for me!
This one is made with Buffalo Trace bourbon. A great value at $22 a bottle!
