Number 7 from "101 whiskies to try before you die."

Glenmorangie The Quinta Ruban. Chocolate and Orange dominate:

Nice! I do love Glenmorangie, its one of my favourites.

I'm at work right now, so no whiskey, but I will be having a bottle of wine with (for?) dinner and I'll probably have some Glenlivet after that.

And Rob, why are you drinking whiskey at 9.30 in the morning?

Actually scratch that, why am I NOT drinking whiskey at 1.30 in the afternoon on a Friday? Whats wrong with this picture!!

    No whisky til later, unfortunately.

Last Weds I went to a tasting put on by The Macallan. Sampled some 10 yr and 15yr Fine Oak barrel, 12yr and 18yr Sherry barrel and some Cask Strength. Nothing earthshaking, but a pretty good night, none the less.

They had a Macallan ice ball maker there, but I didn't get to try it. It makes a glass sized sphere of ice out of a small chunk of ice. Supposedly chills the whisky without excess dilution. Nice toy, but that's about it as far as I could tell.

    I'm enjoying some Jameson.

Well played good Sir. Jameson is top shelf. A delightful whiskey in every way. Éirinn go brách indeed.
