Thanked: 1160The man had it comin. It's off topic ,but I gotta say..for as many times as I've seen all the Godfather movies,I always wrestle on my feelings of whether I think Michael handled it the right or wrong way ? I dunno what I woulda done in his wingtips.

he handled everything in a smart manner for business.. carlo turned.. so he answered for it.. same with fredo.. it was smart business..
michael payed for it.. having to live with himself.. a lot of people were hurt by him.. wife, sister, daughter, son.. anyone i'm missing?
anyway.. back to the russians.. the idea that every beautiful russian woman is either a mail order bride or connected to the mob is nonsense.. you can always find a beautiful russian doctor and become her trophy husband

Thanked: 1160Kvas is a fermented Rye bread drink but is not really alcoholic per say as the content is so low. It's flavor is somewhere between toasted Rye bread, chocolate and rootbeer and it's deeeelicious ! Thanks to the Russians, when I make regular pancakes,I prefer jam and sour cream on them. Talk about decadent !!

Gotcha, I just hear that alot... I and my wife (here in Colorado Springs) were both exposed to Russian at an early age..She is of Russian decent and speaks passable Russian. And I learned Russian in the military...So we have some Russian friends who are just really nice folk.

Thanked: 1160It's not sour as much as a pleasant tangy mixed with the jam.Trust me , it's mad good. Peanut butter sounds good,Ice cream sounds good, but that's over the top. Wow ! food make the best ice breaker and any nationality I've tried so far has been really good. I have found from experience though that I do better to cook in the style of as opposed to recreate authentic dishes. i.e my curries may not be Tikka Masala but an Indian would be pleased. As my Korean style spicy chicken an potato stew might not be authentic, but a Korean would enjoy it.and I think my new soup that I made last night might just be pleasing to a Russian or any east European for that matter.Although I borrowed ideas and created my own. Now my Cajun on the other hand all authentic and Cajun approved . Okay....I am now hungary. I'm gonna boil up some Kielbasa now.
