Yep Glen,harvested my garlic Yesterday (is a 9 month Crop) got Blossums on the maters and the peppers,picked all my apricots two days ago.
Tad diff clime than what your used to.CAUTION

My son lives in Chico and last time I went up there the pads were flooded...? Thats strange. It was def rice. You can see it growing along i5. Is it stopped??? WHY???

For sure, we took the new UTV up toward Roman Nose lakes today, not really much higher then the Ranch up the mountains and hit snow
Still in the High 30's and low 40's most nights.. We do however have everything planted in the garden as of today..
The garlic looks pretty good, honestly not quite sure of when to pull it any hints on how I know it is ready ????

Last year. My son said they still flooded it last year. Your in Sac area. may be dry.
Son said flooded this year..My brother lives in Sacramento/Roseville. Brother said it was dry this year. Maybe I should check out my source before I post. I'll call him.Last edited by HaiKarate; 06-02-2014 at 01:57 AM. Reason: Sac flooding rice.

Thanked: 2027We plant in sept, harvest in june,when the tops start to dry out (they will be about 2 ft tall) hold the water for at least a week or more, do not pull them, you have to dig them,leave them lay in the sun,do not wash the dirt off,tie them in bundles and hang them in a shed for another couple weeks, use as needed. will last maybe 4 mos.
