One thing about the army jungle boots is they lace up tight so a small knife stays in place untill you need it.

I would bring the Kabar to a local knife- or toolmaker and have him reset bevel and edge with a grinder, then learn to keep it sharp with a stone.

PA knife laws are a bit tricky. Switchblades / automatically opening knives are absolutely prohibited, but then it looks as though on a case by case basis, the law determines whether what you're carrying has a "common lawful purpose". If they decide that it does, e.g you're carrying a 8" hunting knife while checking your traps, you're cool. If they decide there's no "common lawful purpose", e.g. you're carrying a 30" ninja sword through your neighborhood at night, then you may be charged with carrying a "prohibited offensive weapon" under the law.

That's just state law. There may be other county/municipal regulations that you need to be aware of. Best to check with your local PD or Sheriff's office to make sure!

    Poor SOG. Look into Spyderco.

You can also do this with a Hone with a lower grit, it takes time but can be done.
No that pistol isn't the only thing under my kilt, but I can tell you both of them work just fine

The s&w's are proving to be reliable right out of the box, it's great. Mine has been refinished by the previous owner (sucks) but it's still a great 1911.

I hear that although now my 1911 has a scandium aluminum frame so it's not as bad as past EDC's. Any chance we can get some pics of your beautiful Brown?
