    Why not if both the buyer and seller have the proper licenses for the class of firearm being sold/bought. I have a PAL, Possession and Acquisition License, for non restricted firearms. I could buy that class of firearm at an auction.

    Not asking why not,just thought buying firarms in Canada was very restricted.

    Yea, it astounds most Americans the you can still buy firearms here but it is still going on. Not in as free wheeling style as south of the border so yes very restricted in comparison but not nearly to the extent some think.

    There is the proper licenses required but you can usually buy and take home the same day. I have a prohibited license so I can buy special handguns with short barrels and such.
