Thanked: 485Yes, I do think one needs to be lean-ish. I'm now down to around 73, but last week I was 71.9 (kilos) at 5' 7". I still need to lose more fat but retain muscle. I think my general weight training done twice a week and the climbing once a week will be my standard excercise for some time; the climbing really hits your entire body. Anyway, I'm a little off topic.
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanked: 101I have worn and worn out many pairs of DMs, Gripfasts, Getta Grip Commandos etc. Also have worn out my fair share of Miltary footwear (Thank you Uncle Sam and taxpayers!) I worked construction in the Seabees and we were hard on boots. I have also done landscaping, warehouse work (current), Machine shop work (went through 3 pairs of steel toe military boots in one year there), flightline, retail etc. I prefer military boots due to USA made and longevity. I can usually find new boots local at the Goodwill due to military personnel PCSing and getting rid of stuff they don't use. I got a pair of BRAND NEW Corcoran Jump Boots for $10 years back. Wore them until the soles were slick and then had them resoled for $35 with Vibrams. Also got a pair of desert steel toes new for $10 and have worn the snot out of them. They fit like slippers and are super comfortable, but are about clapped out. They are literally falling apart, but can't bring myself to toss 'em.....

Thanked: 101Here are the Desert "Slippers". They fit and feel so good. That is 550 cord for laces. They are soaked with the blood of 5 deer and the sweat of a Dad/husband earning money for his family.

Thanked: 101Here are the Corcoran's. All military branches have gone to suede type boots so it makes these kind of obsolete....However, the 36-2903 said I could wear them in dress blues and I did. They looked good in the dress blues.

Georgia Boot: Athens Work Boot
Just ordered a pair of these... Good Reviews and Waterproof...
I haven't had a pair of "Work Boots" in 4 or 5 years... However, I do have work boots ... I seem to wear them out on a regular basis...
•Leather
•Rubber sole
•Soft waterproof leather
•Georgia Waterproof System
•Combined cement and stitchout construction
•AMP, Advanced Memory Polyurethane footbed
•Rubber outsole with EVA midsole
Anybody else have a pair of these?Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated...
