I just booked a 2 bed/2 person room for May 27 & 28 at the
Sleep Inn & Suites , 5850 morning star ct. , Pleasant Hill, Iowa.

It is a bit expensive, $264 including tax total and non refundable. My bad.
Consider going to choicehotels.com and browsing for much better rates at other hotels . The other options scroll across the bottom of the screen.

Earlier in the thread I posted about a diner that is a short distance away, we can meet up there for breakfast or impose on Howard to use his griddle.

Hi Randy and all.
On your post #117 you mentioned the Home Plate Diner on 30th St. about 4 miles West of the Sleep Inn where we could eat breakfast if we didn't want to eat at Howards. It is about one block South of where I am staying at the Econo Lodge, econo hmmm that is a play on words.

I did a street level view on Google Earth of the place and attached it to this post so you could see it. It looks pretty nice.
