Skipnord will be bringing his lathe for turning shaving brush handles and some wood for that purpose. If any of you want to bring some wood, brush knots or ? please do so.

Sorry I thought it would be obvious. Did you figure it out?

I'll bring a 6ft table and couple of chairs. Strops to play/sell, few blades, stones and such.
Questions to ask, problems to solve, jokes to tell, butts to scratch, farts to loose, steel to scrape,
arm hair to lose, machines to play with, stories to invent, anything and all things masculine, and most of all, a gracious host to THANK!

I wish more new guys would find their way to these meet-ups. They are the best way to learn.

Just in case someone is on the fence, here is the address again.

    Morgan Valley Forge
    115 35th Pl, Runnells, IA 50237
Just east of Des Moines a bit
Google maps has this down exactly.

Ya'll have a great time. I'm moving shop equipment on the north-left coast this weekend and will miss the fun. You couldn't be in a better place...

I have a bunch of block I'll bring them so the guys can play. I will want to try and make a handle for myself.

Someday you will find your way back here Mike Blue. I hope.

Do I need to be worrying about feeding you guys ? I have not, so far given any thought to that other than the large cooking surface device.

I do have home brewed ale.

And fire, and steel, and stuff.

    Should be fun.

I think it's funny I am a junior member. I know, it's cause of the low post count and participation level. Still funny.

I remember the forge-ka-bobs with affection, but those were freshly caught, lean venison. I'll get there again, no worries.

How's, or was, the morel season anyway? All the fir forest fires out this way have made for an exceptional season.
