Hey guys, one of our guys, Ozarkedger, sent me a PM asking if he could give a demo on complex/compound edges. So I asked him what those were used on and he said
    ...........
    Me ......

yes, bring your stuff along with you. That's sounds interesting.
Complex/compound edges, used on tools such as ?

    Him .....

I serve physicians, dentists, vets, barbers, and stylists. One of our members (Victor) Bluesman7, requested a demonstration with barber shears. Those tools use a complex edge which is an edge that moves in two different directions (two different profiles). There's quite a bit of professional sharpening using the same stones we use for razors that many have never seen or heard.
You and I met at Ray's (KC meet) couple summers back.

    ------------------------------------

Then I remembered talking with him at Ray Bukatys KC razor meet. He is a true sharpening professional. This will be interesting and a chance to expand our knowledge base.

( I am going to bring a pair of my mothers sewing scissors )

    Default Giveaways and Donations

Hey guys I just got permission from Lynn to give away some stuff at this get together. So, I am going to round up some razors, soaps, etc. so that we can have a giveaway. I will make up some tickets and we will have a drawing for some shaving things kind of like we did at Charlies.

Also, if you want to save on postage and bring something to donate to the monthly giveaways it will be greatly appreciated.

    See you there,
    Bill Watkins aka str8razor

Of course He can do a demo, Ron.

I don't really have a set plan. I figured things would sort of evolve on their own. We can play with fire.

Is there a guess for head count, and am I in need of bringing the griddle in to set it up?

Howard, see post #129. There has been some discussion about meeting at the Home Plate Diner for breakfast, though personally I'd be fine with the griddle. Do you know of any particularly nasty health code violations at this diner or a certain lack of road-kill in your area that we might need to know about?

I will bring hones and my microscope/video set-up if there is room for them.

Never heard anything bad about the place, though I have not eaten there myself in many years. It was fine when I did.
