    I expect SRD?
What's the brown turd supposed to do? Is it to create slurry on synthetics? Flatten and lap, or just clean and maintain? Could this be used with other hones like a Norton 4/8 for example? If I get one of these I'll have to start calling it by its real name. If my wife hears I have a "brown turd" coming in the mail...

I use mine as a rubber (slurry stone) only, i have diamond plates for flattening. Personally i wouldn't use it past the 1k range since its a 600 grit stone.Perhaps some use it as a stone to clean the surface before honing.

Here are French twins with a balanced even wedge grind.

Re-scales on one. Tea was used to slightly stain and dis-color scale material to help blend.

    Finish on oil.

I have rehoned those 2 razors - rusian Volga and Nort corean Kitty Both ultra hard steel
Ive rehoned them on an old Jnat level 5 with few pluses - ultra hard stone and with Odori naguras , that originated from an old closed mine of the nagura deposits , just like the Micawa
Odoris are super pure and very fast nauras - they are very fine also - 2 o them i can refer as equal or better that my mejiro and 1 of them is ultra fine I can refer it to a koma Incredible fast naguras - even with those ultra hard steels slurry darkens in seconds

Well my english is not very good , bu i will say it again - i get 2 shave ready razors and put them on the ultra hard kiita - asagi Jnat , make some pure and creamy slury , with theOdori naguras , and basicaly push them back to almost shave ready condition
Now if you compare the edges with the 8 or 10 k synthetyc , the edges from Odori naguras are finer than them So they are splendide naguras and i have some good honing morning

Oh! The English is fine! All of the hones and comparison to other hones is what is foreign to me!
