Honed these on Naniwas for an SRP member.
BMC "Hybrid"-repaired the toe after a drop. Never heard of this brand before. Its well made razor with a nice grind and it took a nice edge.
    Koraat 8/8- I think I'm in love
T.I. (AOS)- As expected for a TI.

Just a super quick thanks to Sharptonn and the rest of you for posting about the "Brown Turd". After finding out it was so inexpensive, I ended up ordering one from Paulsfinest and whoa Nelly, does it ever speed up the grind on ol' sloppy!

Just remember to dilute that to naught after a bit, Kaptain! Just to get it to an honest 1k!

Thanks.... I don't think it will see that much use, a 1K Naniwa Pro stone is plenty aggressive, but I had one razor to restore..... no wait, it's actually not restorable, but it would be good for quite a few shaves before it runs into a series of pits that will finish it off. I had a lot of bad steel to remove and was slaving away on and off when I felt like it on the 1K... That brown turd supercharged the Naniwa and it took very little time to get the rest of the bad steel off so I could put an edge on it. I shaved with it yesterday and while good, it needs to go back on the hones for a slight tweaking.... I think I must have left a tiny wire edge because it shaved great for a few strokes, then trailed off and I had to finish my shave with another razor.

I know I could have used my DMT 325 or my Atoma 400, but the turd on the 1K let me get the work done and seamlessly transition to a normal 1K with ease and no really deep stria to deal with.

    Tnx again!

Yesterday's honing for today's Fathers Day shave The TSC in a new razor to me, so I went the Nani 1k for a clean bevel set and then to my recently acquired Uchigomoru Suita With natural slurry from the 1k Diamond plate through to clean water then onto a Nakayama Asai with the same deal slurry to clean water Had a lovely shave this morning with a new bay rum & lime soap from the first Canadian shave soap company

    Great slurry shots Substance.
Had some fun with Barber hones. Many can be had for next to nothing and like Geezer says, "Keep going back to look"

This Warhawk was honed in progression from left to right. Finished on an un branded Norton razor "Axe" hone. Mike

Spent some time finishing a big Puma and wanted to use Phrank's beautiful Escher on it before I packed it up to send it back to him.

Test shave proved a deliciously buttery edge that still mowed through 4 days growth with ease.
So, I need to run a few more over this stone while I have it here.
