BTW, this Kershaw is made in the USA...unlike some of their products that have been farmed out for cheap labor.

On the Kershaw that I showed, you push the red button to deploy. The same button is the blade lock. I just push the button to release the lock and use my thigh to close it to the lock position again. One handed was never so simple.

I had an auto a long time ago, but it didn't stay long after it open in my pocket and got stuck in my leg. Far to close for comfort. Only way I would get one now would be if it had a safety and even then I find a non assisted thumb stud easy enough to open and close. Was looking at an assisted one recently since I need to replace the one i lost, but I like the small, thin blades since they don't take up space and can handle my daily needs. I got the Kershaw hawk as a replacement. Not really all that happy, but it is the size and style I want and since my last one is discontinued can't complain since I refuse to pay 3x the price for another like my last.

I just finished a rough restoration (remove rust and tune up/sharpen but leave blade patina) of this Joseph Rodgers congress and it came with me to work today

Yes,,, even worse than collectionig razors.
You collect razors for shaving,,, with knives you rationalize a dozen reasons why you need it.
