After I lost my Camillus I replaced it with the Kershaw hawk, which is about the same size, but lighter. The thing I didn't like was it doesn't have much of a belly so I decided to get something else. Looked at the spyderco paramilitary, which I like the design, but is huge to be carrying in my pocket. Also looked at the benchmade mini griptilian, but didn't want to shell out the money so I ended up going with the Ontario rat2. It is bigger than my hawk, but still fits nicely in the pocket and has a nice belly. Also looked at the Buck vantage pro, but was alittle heavy. Might still get one though since i like Buck knives and they have never failed me. Bad thing with a lot of higher end knives is that they are being reproduced in China so need to get them from reputable source. Even the Ontario rat1 is reproduced and it is only a $30 knife. The hawk is on the right and the rat left. Wanted to add that for a $15 knife the hawk is extremely smooth opening and the quietest knife I have had. The rat you can kind of hear where it rubs the liner when opening.

Huh...hard to believe I haven't posted in this thread yet.
EDC's:
The Skeletool with the bits and the little Great Eastern/Northfield are daily carriers. On potentially "hard use" days, the Grayman Satu. Sometimes just for the sake of variety the Bailey with the pocket sheath.!! Enjoy the exquisite taste sharpening sharpening taste exquisite smooth. Please taste the taste enough to ride cutlery.

I went to my local knife shop and handled a used Spyderco Paramilitary 2 again today...it just felt right. It was spoken for by another of the cronies that hang out there with me so I promptly ordered one online. Looking forward to putting it through the paces. (I still might acquire a Sebenza down the line but that will require dispensing with some shaving tools!)

Is the legal length define as blade length or edge length? Because I could easily see this being a problem. Suppose you make a 6" blade of which only the first 3" is sharp.
Mind you I doubt this half inch is going to be a real issue but depending on who is making the judgement call, the exact wording might be important.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 227Its a touchy question lol. The wording on the gov website says a folding blade on 3 inches or less. However the actual act (section 49 of the criminal law consolidation act 1995) clearly states cutting edge.
Any fixed blade or locking knives are illegal without good reason.
