Thanked: 983Banana, Strawberries, Blueberries, Peach, Apricot, milk, yoghurt, oat bran and a splash of honey blended up together for brekky this morning. Followed by a large glass of water and some vitamins and a cup of coffee to kick off the day. No photo. I just downed it straight from the blender, pig that I am.

After I go back to bed and try to sleep till 5:30 AM I will have my daily starter of black coffee, whole wheat or rye toast slathered with chunky peanut butter and raspberry jam, an antibiotic for a temporary problem and the daily crossword to see how many more words I've forgotten. Second breakfast, around 9:30 AM is usually a toasted English muffin with Canadian bacon and a fried egg plus more coffee. Then the day finally starts.

A temporary situation. A very mild antibiotic taken over a large number of days to alleviate a mild case of Rosacea. Food wise, nothing to spicy or too hot seems to keep it down also. No known cure, just containment. FYI, W.C.Fields, the "go away kid, ya bother me" comedian with the bulbous red veined nose was not a drunk, as people thought because of his nose. He had an advanced case of the worst form of Rosacea.

From what I have read about Rosacea it is not, as many think, old age acne. It is a mild infection that afflict some but not others and has several forms, of which mine is the mildest. My best fiend of over 50 years had the form attacks the eyes and had to have eye surgery. For me, it comes and goes and generally is hard to detect on my face and doesn't interfere with straight razor shaving. I'm hoping that it's just a winter thing and that warmer weather will curtail it.
