Ok today I made a (very slight) attempt at pretty presentation for one here who has the need for such flowery displays of breakfast. I won't mention your name Ed, so as to save you some embarrassment .

First up we have the great Australian Breakfast of Champions...Weet-Bix! Presented here with a garnishing of Strawberries and thickened cream. It was going to be just strawberries, but all the screwing around to appease Ed's delicate tastes in presentation meant that the Weet-Bix was sucking up all the milk and started to look a bit dry, so thickened cream came to the rescue .

Next came a piece of toast, only because it's the weekend and I thought I might splurge a bit. The problem came in just which 'Mite to select. Only one of these is Australian, another one entirely is the favoured choice of the kids. I like them all, and therein lay my quandary!

Thanks mick, its nice to see a picture of something that doesn't look like the aftermath of what you made for breakfast. There is an aesthete in there afterall.
Is the mite thing a trick?, at first guess I would say aussiemite was the Australian one, but maybe its actually promite.

I love the taste a little bitter to them but not very strong. They leave a lingering aftertaste. Mine are the common[at least around here] orange colored ones and I read that the different varieties taste different. I eat them just before the flower is to open. I usually grab them as I walk past the flower bed for a snack. They are about done for the year.

I managed to make a hard choice thanks Steph, but it was only afterwards I realised I could have just cut my toast into three and had the lot!

Careful what you say, lovers of the mites don't like to hear ill words spoken against them (the mites that is, say what you like about us) :-)

We have a lot to choose from too...There's Ozemite, Aussiemite, Promite, Vegemite, Marmite and just to be different, Our Mate. All available in your local supermarket in Australia.

Mick, what is the answer to the Australian mite poser you provided previously?
What does Mrs Mick make of all the breakfast photography?
