One for the lot. What you do is lick the knife clean prior to moving on to the next spread. Always lick from spine to blade edge for safety though.

1 it isn't finncky, toast is important, it is a great comfort food, that is NOT comforting when it is cold and rubbery.
2 Melbourne is freezing in winter, Perth gets down to 5 or less degrees overnight, so unless you have central heating, which doesn't exist in Australia, your crockery WILL be cold in the morning.

I mean should one have butter mixed in the mite or mite mixed in the butter crock or do ya have three knives ,one for butter ,one for mite and one for spreadin......this would be a good Mick question .
Obviously I am not Mick, but I would butter all my toast first, then use the same knife for the mite, mite in your butter is problematic if you subsequently want jam.

Crockery? That's the plastic plates and stuff from the cupboard you're talking about isn't it?
