Had pancakes, maple syrup, bacon and fried eggs the other day, I think it may have not been proper maple.syrup, but none the less, I found thr sweet/savoury combo a bit weird.
Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

I talked my local grocery store manager into stocking maple syrup, when I moved back to Norway.

Even if it was real Maple syrup Ed, the combination is a bit weird anyway. I had it over in the US years ago...Along with scones served up to me at breakfasts and dinners, but they called them biscuits which is just plain odd, but hey when in America...Go to Canada and Mexico. Visit Hawaii perhaps as well...I didn't go to Hawaii I'm sad to say. The Canadians were always apologising to me about one thing or another, except for the best views of Niagara falls. They were well happy there. Mexicans, once they realised I 'spoke' Spanish and appeared to be a bit more local with my darker appearance, treated me not so much like a tourist but rather with a little bit of respect brought on by confusion and the respect given to one who knows the 'lingo', which gave me the best value for spending dollar compared to everyone that was with me. But I digress...
Pancakes and Maple syrup are fine just where they are.

Thanked: 983Bacon and eggs?! Vegemite on toast?! Actually that leads me to remembering something I meant to tell you Steph. I think I might have the full deck of mites in my pantry at the moment. I'll have to put them in a line up and photograph the buggers. I think it might be a world first .
